Tekiah is the monthly newsletter of Temple Torat Emet. In addition to serving as a “calendar publication” to provide information to our readership about upcoming events and activities, Tekiah provides expanded information on the current and future goings-on within the Temple and the outside Jewish community. Tekiah also provides lists of donations and yahrzeits, notices of life-cycle events and new members, results of Board of Directors meetings (“Board Briefs”), feature articles and other items of interest, and advertising. The publication also includes articles and notices that are time-sensitive, as well as a selection of reports on important recent events and timely, periodic messages from the Rabbi, the president, committee chairs, and the presidents of our constituent organizations. Additional articles are also included when publication coincides with the major holiday periods of the year, namely, Rosh Hashanah/Yom Kippur/Sukkot, Hanukkah, and Purim/Passover/Shavuot.
While there is generally a fairly stable list of contributors to Tekiah, any member of the congregation may submit articles for publication. Contributors may provide inputs to the Editor, the Managing Editor by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org
